The blockade by India to Nepal: The most terrific moment for every Nepalese

Nepal is a small country (in comparison to its neighboring countries). It is republican and democratic country with its own sovereignty. It lies in between two giant countries china (in the north) and India (from three sides) with an area of 1, 47,181 sq.km. It is a land-locked country with population of 27.8 million. About more than 80% of People in Nepal follow Hinduism while others are Buddhist (part of Hindu), Islam and Christian.

About more than 80% of people are engaged in agriculture while others are involved in government offices, private sectors, INGOs, NGOs and business. As agriculture is the main occupation of people in Nepal, only few industries are providing daily need while most of the goods are imported from India and third countries through the way of India (obligation due to the reason of being land-locked).

On 20^th September, Nepal got its new constitution which is marked as the happiest day in the history in the chairmanship of Prime Minister sushil koirala. After then Nepal elected new prime minister to Mr. K.P sharma oli representing UML (united Maoist Leninist) .In the row of time Nepal also got first female speaker to Onsari gharti and first female president to Vidya devi Bhandari.

Before the promulgation of new constitution, Madhesi people (who live in the border area of India and look like indian people) started to protest against the government which is believed to be enforced and supported by Indian government. They were staying in border without giving any Lorries vehicles to pass in to Nepal demanding for their right. The main issue of their protest is to provide two difference states for those back warded Tharu (those are the indigenous of plain land called as terai) and Madhesi community one to individual as Nepal is going in referendum and proposed number of states are six, so that India could get more chance to utilize Nepal's resources (mainly water ) forthcoming time as it has more population and research has revealed that after fifty years the amount of drinkable water will be less than 1/3 of the existing availability.

As all other countries congratulated Nepal at the time of promulgation of new constitution but India was unhappy as Nepal did not go along the wishes of India and that finally expressed as unofficial blockade at the border of India to Nepal. Now at the moment Nepal is facing a lot of problem and people are compelled to live in scarcity and price hike led people to celebrate the second largest festival Tihar with lots of problem.

Till the date people are obliged to travel in public vehicle with more difficulty and they are ready to bear the problem of nation but they never want to bow their head to other countries as Nepal is one and only country which was not colonized by any other country in the past as now so people of Nepal feel pride of that. They are enduring the problem and supporting the nation. People are going to their destination making a lot of crowd in vehicle as India is not providing any fuel to Nepal and other LPG gas to make their food and finally obliged to use firewood though the whole world is running to the issue of climate strike and afforestation. Now we can see people queuing up their vehicles and cylinders in oil pump though the Nepal oil corporation is not being able to provide to any fuel. At the present moment, Nepal has extended its long term diplomatic relation to China to solve the problem of fuel crisis. As Nepal extended its hand to china, it assured us to provide 1.3 million of fuel as a donation. China lies in northern part and it is considered to be difficult to bring fuel from china due to geographical difficulty. Nepal cancelled its long term agreement to Indian Oil Corporation in monopoly to provide fuel to Nepal as it started a new contract to petro china to provide about 33% of fuel demand in Nepal which can be increased according to Need.

Nepalese people are always with the government if Nepal whenever the country suffers from problem. Due to the blockade Nepal is in great loss of thousands of millions which directly hits the economy. Nepalese people are seeking for peace and prosperity among different ethnic communities while Nepal government is seeking for better relation with Indian government.

As the students of Terai (southern lowland) are not getting opportunity to go to their school due to the protests and strike, students from Kathmandu protested against that by peace forming a chain of about 27km.
